How We Work

You may have something really specific in mind or maybe you want to take a step back and let Perfect Space do the work. With over 20 years experience Cady and his team have extensive knowledge in working with natural materials resulting in exquisite, perfectly designed products, which last for years.

The process is easy, send over your project ideas to Cady and he can give you a rough quote to get started. Everything is manufactured in our workshop and when ready can be fitted on site within a few days. See below how the process works…

If you would like to discuss project and design ideas, we are always more than happy to chat and give suggestions of design, material etc. We love talking about wood!

Next we will work out an estimate cost for your project, this is free of charge. We are able to give you an actual cost once you have approved the final design and decided on materials and features.

We encourage our clients to come and visit the workshop and see what we do, this gives a great opportunity to talk through the different material available, see how they really feel, and talk about what might work best for you. Seeing the different finishes and materials in real life can really help you get a feel for thew hole project.

If you would like to proceed and book the project in, we will then get working on a 3D drawing for you. This is all included in your price quoted.

Keeping good communication between client and design team during the design stage enables us to bring your ideas to life. We can look over previous projects and inspiration research to put your ideas together, work on mood boards and goals.

DESIGN MEETING
We make time to share your drawings either in person or live over zoom. This is when we can look at the designs together and make amendments, play with colour and features.

Once design and layout are settled, I can give you an exact cost. We want the client to feel in control of their design and their costs. The design stage is not rushed, time is taken to get it just right for you. We are happy to keep to your budget and will advise on the best materials and finishes to achieve this while creating furniture to be proud of.

DESIGN

Once designs and costs are finalised we will book your project in to our workshop. All furniture is completely manufactured and finished in our workshop in Bath.

Smaller free standing items are delivered complete, while larger projects such as wardrobes and kitchens are often delivered in pieces (flat pack) but completely ready for us to fit neatly into place.

As everything is manufactured in the workshop and ready to go, we work in your home without making mess or fuss. For the minimal work we do need to do, we have extractors on all of our machinery and always fully tidy up before the end of each day.

Process Materials Pricing

Materials

We love to use new and interesting materials, colour and texture is super important in all of our projects. Working with modern materials such as Plywood, and Formica as well as traditional real wood and beautiful vaneers can give amazing results. The natural soothing tones of wood look awesome sat next to a pop of colour.

We are mindful of the environment and sustainability of the materials that we use. Designs are innovative and we are excited to use the new materials available. Our materials are sourced from suppliers who are also sourcing responsibly. We only use FSC and PEFC Approved timber. This certifies forests all over the world to ensure they meet the highest environmental and social standards. All hinges and draw runners come with a lifetime guarantee.

Finishes

When selecting paints and lacquers we choose products that minimise our impact on the environment by using water based and natural products when possible, while maintaining and excellent and durable finish.

Finishes we offer:
Spray, hand painted finishes, paints, lacquers, varnishes and oils.

How does the pricing work?
I have a budget in mind and don’t want any surprises!

The truth is that when it comes to pricing, as every project and design is unique, prices can vary greatly depending on what features and materials you choose. We aim to produce stunning furniture that is also great value. We would like to build you something super fancy but also have some clever tricks to keep costs modest and within budget. We understand that you want to feel in control of you design and the costs. Therefore, once we have a good idea of your project we can give you a rough cost. If you want to book the project in we can then get started on a design which we can put an actual cost to.
